ATHANOR OCS vs ATHANOR AGA :
----------------------------

The AGA version of Athanor 2 brings three major changes with the OCS version:
- the game takes up to 4 disks instead of 3
- the graphics are now in 256 colours
- 150Kb of sound effects have been added to the sound atmosphere.

Everything has been re-drawn from the title screen to every location in the game,
sprites, GUI, inventory items and the ending screen.
Athanor 2 OCS shared the same palette for the locations and the rest of the GUI.
The AGA version features a dedicated palette for the GUI.

On the sound front, the OCS version featured intermittent music. The AGA version
combines the original music with ambient sound effects that change with the context.
In total, 11 soundscapes enhance your journey through the 60 locations of the game.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
--------------------
Amiga 1200/4000/CD32/Walker With minimum 2MB of memory
Kickstart versions 3.0/3.1

THE GAME SUPPORTS:
------------------
Hard Drive Installation (HDD, SSD, CF), Additional RAM up to 6MB Multiple floppy
drive (up to 4 drives max, when enough memory available)

PLAYING FROM FLOPPY:
--------------------
Switch off your machine for at least 30 seconds, then insert disk 1 (labelled
"ATH1:") into DF0: and turn on the computer. The software will load and run
automatically. After that, during the game you will be prompted to change disks
when it is needed. You may also choose to insert the other disks ("ATH2:",
"ATH3:", "ATH4:") in any other external drives your Amiga is equipped with.

SAVE/LOAD FROM FLOPPY:
----------------------
When playing from floppy disks, you will need to prepare a blank, formatted disk
BEFORE you start to play (using either the Workbench or X-Copy).
This disk MUST be named "SAVE" (without the quotes) and will become your
SAVE/LOAD disk. You can save 8 games per disk. Be sure to format the "SAVE"
floppy disk in bootable mode (if you use X-Copy).

INSTALLING TO HARD DRIVE:
-------------------------
Switch on your Amiga as described in your Amiga manual and wait until the
workbench screen is displayed. Insert the disk 1 (ATH1:) into any drive. When
the disk icon (ATH1) appears, double click on it. Two icons will then appear.
Double click on the one named "HDDInstall" and follow the instructions on
screen. Athanor 2 will then install on your hard drive, and you will be prompted
to insert each disk, one by one.

QUIT THE GAME:
--------------
When running from the hard disk, you will have the ability to exit the game,
either by pressing AMIGA-Right-Q or CTRL-ESC.

SAVE/LOAD FROM HARD DRIVE:
--------------------------
Hard drive players will have their games saved in the game directory
automatically, along with the game files.

/!\ TROUBLE SHOOTING:
---------------------
The installation of Athanor 2 on the hard drive will require at least 2MB of
free space. The game will require at least 2MB of free memory. Before running
the game from the workbench, close all the programs and windows that are not
needed.

Athanor 2 Amiga supports up to 3 external floppy drives (plus the
internal one), however each external drive attached to your Amiga will use a
dozen of Kb and will reduce the available memory required by the game. On a 2MB
machine, if Athanor 2 fails to load, you should try unplugging some or all of
your external drives.
